Queen Elizabeth District High School located on Fair Street in Sioux Lookout offers a comprehensive education in the English language to 500 students of grades 9-OAC.
Full-time equivalent enrolment on September 30, 1998 was approximately 485 students. Presently the school is at capacity.
Queen Elizabeth District High School has had several upgrades and additions during its lifetime. The most recent involved total renovation and upgrading of the technological wing. There was also a major heating and lighting renovation. The roof has been recently replaced. The school has a full-sized gymnasium, library and lunchroom. There is no cafeteria for students or staff.
Classroom and office space is at a premium. The old Lakeview Building has been converted to the art area. A three-room portable is also situated on the school grounds. Single room portables have been placed on the site.
